Cigar Band of Brothers

While Will was in Iraq, a bunch of men from Richmond (who all love smoking cigars) banded together and regularly sent him hundreds of cigars. This turned into a ministry for Will, as his office became a great hang-out spot to play games and smoke cigars. Tonight, we had the privilege of getting together with this "Cigar Band of Brothers" and it was lots of fun. Will presented them with a flag that was flown over FOB Marez, in appreciation for all the support these men gave to our battalion.

The Camdens

We got together with some VERY dear friends this morning!! The Camdens stopped by to visit. Tex and Susan Camden mentored us while we were engaged and have played a very integral role in our marriage and in our parenting. We ADORE them and wish we could see them more often. They are also Carlee Scott's godparents.

We took a morning trip over to Farmville to visit Will's parents' cabin in the woods as well as go out to lunch in celebration of Granny's birthday!! We had lots of fun with Mimi, Papa, Uncle John, Aunt Catherine, Cousin Alley, and Granny!

The Plane

Owen received a really cool present today from Mimi and Papa. When Will turned 2, he was given this airplane. Papa completely refurbished it and gave it to Owen for his 2nd birthday. The first picture collage is of Will enjoying the plane as a 2 year old and the rest of the pics are of the newly re-done plane and Owen!!!

Owen's Birthday Party

We celebrated Owen's 2nd birthday (Jan 7) today with both sides of the family. It was a "train" theme and we played, ate, opened presents, and enjoyed cupcakes! Owen had a blast.
