Stay Tuned
Tomorrow we find out if baby #2 is a boy or a girl!! I'm so afraid he/she will be bashful so I hope he/she decides to do a little dance and let us know who he/she is! I'm just dying to find out. I'm a planner. I need to know so I can plan. That's just the way I am. Some people call it obsessive-compulsive. I call it organized:) Besides, I'm so looking forward to referring to him/her by the name we have chosen. My appointment is at 9am CST so check back for the update. Have a good day!

Five Things
My good buddy, B-Mama, has tagged me for a Meme consisting of five things I love about Jesus. Here goes! I listed all of these in the past tense, referring to when he physically walked the earth, but don't forget that these all apply today!
1. He adored children: How can we not love that about him? He had a special place in his heart for children and I can almost picture the caring and gentle way he interacted with them.
But Jesus called the children to him and said, "Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these." Luke 18:16
2. He gave refuge: Many people sought him out for rest, peace, and encouragement. He is where I go when I need refuge.
3. He was patient: He was patient with everyone and continues to be patient with me as I stray on a daily basis.
4. He was real: This is probably my favorite thing about Jesus. He hung out with the unpopular and befriended the unfriendly. So often we judge others based on appearance or language or any other superficial reason, when Jesus - the great example - loves them all. He wasn't some untouchable figure kept high away in some secret place, only to never be seen and heard from. He went out among the people and touched and hugged and healed...he was real. Not only that, but he felt pain and sadness, just as we do today.
Jesus said to them, "I tell you the truth, the tax collectors and the prostitutes are entering the kingdom of God ahead of you. For John came to you to show you the way of righteousness, and you did not believe him, but the tax collectors and the prostitutes did. And even after you saw this, you did not repent and believe him. Matthew 21:32
Then he said to them, "My soul is overwhelmed with sorrow to the point of death. Stay here and keep watch with me." Going a little farther, he fell with his face to the ground and prayed, "My Father, if it is possible, may this cup be taken from me. Yet not as I will, but as you will." Matthew 26:38-40
5. He loved: What greater example do we have of a truer love?
It was just before the Passover Feast. Jesus knew that the time had come for him to leave this world and go to the Father. Having loved his own who were in the world, he now showed them the full extent of his love. John 13:1

"Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light." Matthew 11:28-30

The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise, as some understand slowness. He is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance. 2 Peter 3:9

So often we judge others based on appearance or language or any other superficial reason, when Jesus - the great example - loves them all. He wasn't some untouchable figure kept high away in some secret place, only to never be seen and heard from. He went out among the people and touched and hugged and healed...he was real. Not only that, but he felt pain and sadness, just as we do today.
While Jesus was having dinner at Levi's house, many tax collectors and "sinners" were eating with him and his disciples, for there were many who followed him. Mark 2:15

Chuck E Cheese
Carlee Scott had her first trip to Chuck E Cheese today! We went there for a birthday party and she loved it.
