Big Sister Book
My mom gave Carlee Scott the cutest "Big Sister" book a few weeks ago. I've just now gotten the pictures put in it and filled in the blanks with Owen's information. Daddy read it to her tonight before bed and she loved it. She seemed so tickled to see her name in a book, as well as pictures of her, Owen, Mommy, and Daddy.

Carlee Scott
Several of you have asked me how Carlee Scott has adjusted to Owen's addition to our family. Like I said before, we've encountered some behavior issues but I'm excited to report that we are almost back on track to good behavior and immediate obedience. It's partly our fault because we were not as strict with her when family was visiting, but over the past week or so, we've shown her that we are serious again. She has responded well and seems to almost be back to her usual, delightful self. Tonight at dinner, she was in rare form. Dinner is a great time for us because it provides an opportunity for some Mommy/Daddy/Carlee Scott time (Owen is usually in his infant seat after being fed - happy, quiet baby with full tummy!). We've really enjoyed reconnecting with Carlee Scott during this important time of the day. Tonight, she entertained us with her peek-a-boo antics as well as her version of an alligator.

Saturday
Well, today was our first Saturday on our own without family here to help. We had a great day. We played this morning, had some friends come over, enjoyed naptime, and then played some more! Here are a few photos from our day.
I was sitting on the couch holding Owen when I decided to sit him next to me like a big boy. Will thought it was funny so he grabbed the camera.

Our Cuties
Hey friends!! Not a whole lot going on here. We are just enjoying our new life as a family of four. Carlee Scott is adjusting fairly well to the new addition. We've encountered some behavior issues but are addressing those as they come. It must be tough for a 2-year-old to suddenly experience such a dramatic family change. For the most part, she adores Owen, but can't yet discern what's allowed and what's not - hugging Owen is okay but stepping on this foot on purpose is not! Owen is doing extremely well. He is a quick and efficient eater and loves to sleep. I've been alone with him for the past few days now that family is gone and we have had some precious moments together. These kiddos have my heart!!!

Grandparents Rock
Here's a photo of Mimi and Papa with two of their three grandbabies. They leave tomorrow and we will be sad to see them go. They were SUCH a big help. Will and I were able to kick back, relax, and even go out to eat alone twice! We are so grateful for them, as well as for my parents, who also came to visit and helped out tremendously. Thank you to four of the best grandparents in the world!
Owen Update
Owen had his 2-week appointment today and is doing great! He weighed in at 9lbs 10oz (85th percentile) and the doctor says he's growing well and is very healthy!

Owen's First Bath
Owen had his first bath tonight. He did not like it at all! Hopefully, he'll grow to love the water as much as his sister does. Things are going well here with us. My parents left on Monday and Will's arrive tomorrow. We are looking forward to their visit. Owen is doing really well - eating like a champ and sleeping about as well as a newborn should. He is so cute and already has several nicknames - The Squish, The Dude, Little Man, Owesies, and Toot Toot.
